About Us
Salon 359 was founded in 2006 by friends and master stylists Melissa Grace, Sumry Lemmenes, Rita Miles and Hannah Olivieri.
Our goal? To create a luxury retreat that combines innovative hair styling and beauty with a chic atmosphere. We believe elite individualized service and a lavishly comfortable environment shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
Our team of master stylists and makeup artists bring decades of experience that include not only salon expertise but also service as educators in elite beauty academies and high fashion runway hair styling. Additionally, we carry handcrafted jewelry made by local artisans. One of our goals as a salon is to actively support our local fine artists and musicians. We've been known to host an art opening or two and love bringing our community together.
Feel free to fall in love once you walk through the door...and expect everyone else to fall in love with your new look when you walk out.
Our Stylists
Melissa Grace, Stylist/Owner
Melissa Grace finders her work "inspired by the beauty that resides in each and every one of us" and considers it an honor to bring out and enhance the beauty of her clients.
Grace has over 16 years experience as a stylist and studied under Louis Licari for Louis Licari Beverly Hills in addition to the Bumble and Bumble Academy, Vidal Sasoon Academy and Redken Color Exchange. Grace has had her work published in major magazines, worked alongside Louis Licari on a daytime television show as well as served as a stylist for many TV and film star appearances ranging from interviews to walking the red carpet at the Golden Globes and Oscars.
Grace finds inspiration in her everyday life, from her husband and young child to her costal surroundings. Being aware and open to the opportunities life provides her to draw from.
In her free time she likes to read, golf, hang out with her family...and hula hoop!
"I have a passion for hair and the people who come to me get what they are looking for each and every visit. I believe in always keeping it fresh and exciting. I love the reinventing process. I've had the pleasure to work with many brilliant and talented hairdressers and I love the profession, community and its energy."
Rita Miles, Stylist/Owner
What co-owner/stylist Rita Miles considers Salon 359 to be "cool and hip with a modern twist!" She loves that the salon has a sleek and flirty edge but never comes off as pretentious.
Miles brings 17 years of experience to the salon that includes having worked as a master educator in elite beauty academies as well as having been featured in print publications, television segments and runway shows for designers such as Donna Karan. Miles background includes academies and brands such as Allen Edwards, Toni&Guy, Redken Exchange, Bumble and Bumble and Paul Mitchell.
Rita's primary areas of expertise include but aren't limited to color, cuts, Brazilian Blowout as well as relaxing treatments and permanents. She finds inspiration for her work from "art, runway shoes, interior designers, traveling and the people who come in and out of my life."
When not at work, you can find Miles heavily involved and passionate about Acres of Love, an organization devoted to "providing the highest quality of care for abandoned South African children and those infected with HIV/AIDS." In addition to her charity work, Miles also enjoys spending time with her husband and kids as well as extended family and friends.
She adds, "I am passionate about my craft and feel grateful everyday to have the ability to make people pretty from the inside out." Beauty starts within; a great stylist is just the conduit to bring it out.
Hannah Olivieri, Stylist/Owner
Hannah Olivieri may have started hairdressing in 1996, but she's been playing with hair since she was eight-years-old. You could say she always knew what she wanted to grow up to be.
Olivieri trained with Bumble and Bumble in New York as a network educator, also with Toni&Guy, Redken and Rusk. She has had her work published in Hairstyles magazine among others. Her specialties include cutting, color, Brazilian Blowouts and most importantly, making people feel beautiful!
She describes herself as, "a mother, loyal friend, teacher, and businesswoman who strives for quality in my life, and passion for the craft of hairdressing" not to mention the pursuit of "peace, love, and happiness!!"
Hannah's favorite quote is "We live, we love, we give, but we never give up. If we give up, we have not accomplished one goal in our life." She feels it sums up the inspiration that led her to open a boutique salon that could be both intimate and earthy yet cool and unlike any salon around: a place where local artists felt supported and where her friends could work alongside her.
